Philippine Scores at the Taste of PATA Event

PDOT London had quite a coup promoting the Tourism banner to the UK travel trade at the recent Taste of PATA event at Borough market last September. The annual Taste of PATA evening showcases the region through a range of activities by participating tourism boards.

This year's attendance was a highly encouraging 24 percent increase in numbers from the previous year, underlining the significance of the event. Enthusiastic visitors to the Philippines stand include Kuoni, British Airways Holidays, Dive in Style, Funway Holidays and Premier Holidays, all of whom already sell flights and packages to the Philippines.

Kenwood, Flight Centre and STA Travel called on PDOT London to conduct future training and presentation at their offices due to the increased demand for Philippine holidays. PDOT London was also able to discuss the possibility of future joint-promotional activities with a number of travel trade representatives for the coming year.

The Philippines' triumph at the event pushes the momentum forward as the country prepares to host the PATA Travel Mart in Manila in 2012.

Philippines, the Destination of Choice at this Year's DIVE Show in Birmingham

The grand prize for this year's Dive Show in Birmingham is a staggering 10-night all-inclusive luxury dive safari onboard the Philippine Siren. The prize offered by PDOT London together with Worldwide Dive and Sail is reported to be one of the best prizes offered during the show's history worth £8,000.00!

The Philippines is truly recognized as a world-class dive destination with awareness at an all-time high. Most of the top dive operators rate their Philippines packages among their most popular destinations.

Joining PDOT London at the Philippine Stand are partners Marco Vincent Dive Resort in Puerto Galera, Savedra Dive Centre in Moalboal and Thresher Shark Divers in Malapascua together with operators Banca Diving Philippines and Ultimate Diving.

In addition, PDOT London is launching a brand new dive page on its Tourism Philippines website during the show. The functionality is set to have interactive media including photos and videos for each dive destination in the country along with packages offers and information on specific dive sites.

Visitors to the fair are invited to visit the Philippines in Stand Number 210 at the NEC Birmingham on 22-23 October.
